background color - front light

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows how to open a front light to paint lights on a black background. Did anybody ever worked on something like thet?

You bake the lights in an oven and then open them up. Then you can paint them

Pre heat over for 350F or 400F, wrap your headlights with a towel, place headlights in the oven for about 12-15 min. remove and adhesive should be melted by then.

the clear coat on my headlights started to bubble/peel due to leaving it in the oven too long. i just need to get them restored.
