Need an image of the entire unit to tell for certain but it looks like stock to me. The headlight should say Toyota on it somewhere on the back I'd imagine. Can't really remember honestly.

Are those stress cracks on the inside or scratches on the outside?

Look around the bottom of the headlight where the imprints are and if they say 'Toyota'. I believe there should also be some stuff on the back. This picture is from my gallery. I'll see if I can find another.

Why do you want to back them if they're cracking?

yep, easiest way to tell if its an oem part is to look for the "TOYOTA" writing on the bottom outside part of the headlight.

oem "STYLE" headlights do exist. look oem, but not

ick. yeah if those are stress cracks you are probably only going to make it worse by applying heat. I don't think there is much you can do to fix it. best bet is to pick up a set of decent used headlights

i would say those stress cracks arent much of a big deal IMO. just be more careful and not put pressure where they are cracking. just take your time.

im bringing this back up because it is sorta related to what i want to ask and i dont want to start a new thread.
most of the tabs on my headlights are broken so there just kinda wedged in now. im looking to buy new ones, but cant afford oem and dont want used cause there all faded. i can get a set of oem replicas for 200 or the hid stacked halo ones for 250. its a hard decision because im not sure if replicas still have oem quality. also there seems to be a black and clear oem replica. my current ones are clear i didnt know they had black oem lights, but would get them if they looked better than the clear. what would u sugest?

They did have black oem headlights, they are the HID ones and will run you upwards up $300 for a pair (probably closer to $500). You can buy a pair of used OEM headlights for under $200 easily with very minimal fading. All it takes is some wetsanding and a polishing compound and it will look like new. Aftermarket headlights absolutely do NOT have OEM quality (99% of the time). They will crack or fade prematurely, have cheap tabs, poor fitment, misaligned beam patterns, etc. Just don't.

Kaminari side skirts are supposed to be fitted over the stock sides.

Can you realy buy new tabs? There part of the headlight tho. So u guys don't think the replica oem ones will be the same? They would be the kind u get from rockauto or a body shop.

They will look the same, but might not be quite the same. I know TYC makes some OEM style headlights as well as DEPO. Not sure what type of materials they use though.

Yes, you can purchase replacement tabs.

Ok so I can get
oem replicas for 220
Stacked halos with hids for 250
Some with insides painted black for 140.
140 is suspiciously low for a set and makes me question the quality.
Halos with hid kit seems like the most for the money. sinse none are oem I'd assume they would all be made of similar lesser than oem quality materials.

Yes, check the Repair & Maintenance section, I think it's stickied.

Aftermarket will not be same quality. Just buy the tabs.

Mine have other problems besides just the tabs so I am going to get a new set. Just need to know which is the best of the 3. Visibility is important to me so I need to know if 6000k h1 hids will be brighter than h7 standard bulbs.
