Oil burn?

Can a bad air/fuel ratio lead to oil burning? I ask this because my entire exgaust needs to be redone due to bad cats and a bad o2 sensor. I know the o2 sensoe that is bad helps regulate air fuel ratio. Last week i noticed my car was about a quart short.

For those that sont know, this is for an is300 and tge cats are located on the header and y pipe which is why the entire system needs to be replaced.
