Latest Harry Potter Movie (possible spoiler warning)

Ok, who's seen it and what did you think?

I don't like the new Dumbledore, but the movie rocked!

The kids are getting too old. But they did a good job with the dementors.

They are getting as old as Harry is in the books. As for the new guy, I wasn't used to him either but he did a good job. I saw it in IMAX when it came out, the effects for some of those scense were pretty cool. I wanna play quittage(sp?)

It was a good moive, but a far cry from the book. The first two movies were much better.

IMAX? sweet!

Also, I thought that the new director did a good job but the feeling was completely different then the first two movies. Dumbledore was not as calm and collected

I saw it. I've never read any of the books, but I've liked all the movies.

[Mao]That Hermine girl could have potential someday.[/Mao]

I went with people that read the book and they said a lot of stuff got cut out. However, that's always understandible to make a watchable movie. How many games of "catch teh flying ball" can one watch anyways?

I did not like Dumbledore as much as the old one but he still did a good job. I think this book set the best tone.

I liked it too...and agree with not liking the new Dumbledore.

I think the werewolf could have been done a little better, maybe like the werewolves from Underworld maybe

A little long? It was just over two hours, far shorter than the other movies.

There were alot of things that were unneccessarily cut, that would have helped out alot if they had included it.

Also, the first two movies used basically the same stages and stuff. I did not like the new stages in this movie, I thought it would be better to keep the castle and the classrooms consistant.

If you read the original book then this movie is not good. To give you an example no where in the book shows Dementors can fly, in fact in the book where Harry was in the match the book wrote Dementors ran into center of the field and looked up and do their thing. Dumbledore drove the dementors away from the field and rescue Harry. Also the Firebolt was given to Harry earlier than the movie, the school took it apart for fear of Black putting curse or hex on the broom. Finally gets it back and let Ron ride the broom to cheer Ron up because Ron was upset think that Hermaine's cat ate his Scabbers.
Overall the movie is ok, worth seeing. The majestic and sheer enormous size of the school (in the first two) was not conveyed, the school actually look smaller. Just look at the halls they were walking in it is smaller... Even the stairs area looks smaller... This movie looks like it was scaled back in budget, everything look smaller... Even the amount of students that went to Hogworts look less than it use to be, did they all drop out or something??

atleast most of the currently minor character are still the same. hopefully they'll keep the same actors/actresses with the next movies (like Ginny, Percy, Neville--he's not as fat in this movie as i figured he'd be).

it also looks like they're gonna start working on the sexual tension...there was even a Hermonie sandwich in this one

Yeah they all know how to change to animal just to keep Lupin company... Also Lupin did not say atleast I do not recall that Harry's Patronis (I think that is what its called) is a deer like patronis and just the same as what James Potter would turn into when James Potter turns into animal. But I fail to see how a rat, a dog, and a deer keep themselves from getting eaten by a werewolf

I liked it better than 2, maybe not more than one, but equal. The werewolf looked crapy though. Van Helsing Werewolf > Underworld > HP3

Anyway, the Harry Potter is turning out to be a nice series. The kids are getting old though, Harry looked a little weird as a teenager. Other than that, I look forward to part 4 where Hermaphrodite or whatever her name is gets the big boobage.

Better than the first 2.

I don't think they created the werewolf to be to scary. After all it's still supposed to be a childrens story.
