Later in the year im hoping to be able to compliment all the top end work with a fully forged, 2.0 stroked lightened and baalanced and cryo treated bottom end.

She will be heading off to Greg at Protuner once Se7en are through with her for full tuning. A 9200 limit will be used at this stage, with the premis of going to a 10000rpm limit when she is fully built, all with a reduced lift engagment of around 5500rpm

Im really looking forward to see the results.

Cheers for Looking

Matt.

i do like the engine build tho.

I didnt mention the dyno as the build is in progress, im not sure what figures to expect but im hoping to impress.

The last dyno run was done with the engine is as she is in the bay picture above. So sstock internals, PPE full ehaust with a Veilside Titaium terdrop exhaust, DD-performance intake with nissan Q45 TB and all run from the Power FC

The tune wasnt very polished as there was a lot of knock on part throttle, and some fueling issues lower down the rev range, and also i had discovered the vac hoses on the intake were installed wrong which was why i had some issues with idle speed control. Anyway she went on the rollers and here is the print out:

Really looking forward to the new tune. she should be punching well above 200 by then.

As for looking Rice, well the graphics are love it or hate it. i personnally love them, as i designed both mine and the GF's graphics and had a friend cut them for me. My design is a tip of the hat to the Jap race/drift cars, with the hole drivers side in total reverse. The Katakana up the side is my username translated for me by a friend to as close as you could get.

The GF's kit is very nice i think, i wanted it for mine, but now looking else where, a Trial/bomex/veilside/C-one mix next, and some custom work.

Either way, we love the cars and thats all that matters at the end of the day.

One question, what do you mean by the phrase "hard Parked" ????

Cheers

i don't understand one thing. the car has 2zz-ge engine which is supposed to be 190hp and after allthose mods it has 187hp ??

and as for visual changes, i do like your celica (the white one) but the body kit on your GF's car is hideous.
but well, to each their own.
to have a GF that will share passion to the same car? that must be nice

yeah, i know. you dyno any "190" and you will be lucky to hit 175 on the dyno. stupid aint it!!

And yeah. its great having a missus as mad about the cars as me. The last bitch moaned about the car all the time back when i had my MR2 V6. Either way im not with her anymore so all the better!! haha

I love the webber sports kit, hate the skirts, but she hasnt got them, as we both hate them. I see alot of you US guys go for stock body and slammed to ground. Which i think looks ok, but i prefer a more in your face body kit - as you can tell!! and slamming it in the uk to the extent you guys do just isnt feasable if you intend to actually move your car without the help of a very low low-loader to/from shows. My car is a show car that is built to be driven, and also look good at shows. Function over form so to speak. Some of the stanced motors do look good, but not practicle for me. so mine will be going slightly lower while she is away at Se7en motorsports. but any more and it wont make it on/off my drive at home!! doh!

I can assure you this car isn't anywhere near Hard Parked!! As much as i appreciate floor scraping drops and "stanced" to the hilt rides, i see them as highly inpracticle, all my engine and chassi mods are aimed at one thing, improving handeling. She has a fully braced and bushed chassi and more power and bigger brakes, all the better for the track, which is where i take her for some real play time. And by no means a slouch either on the nice twisty back roads!!

She is no way a trailored show car!! She rocks up to shows under her own power.

Nice celica! I think it looks good and has the power to back it up (if the engine is ok). It is a look that we don't see often on this site anymore.

Is the 187 you dyno'd engine HP or wheel HP?
I had my stock engine dyno'd with just the Blitz Open air filter, Greddy Ti-C and 95Ron V-power fuel and did 192 engine HP.

I hope to get more out of the car with my TRD exhaust header, decat, ported IM, custom intake and PFC (to be tuned by Steve Sadler from FC tuning).

The 187 was at the flywheel. rather dissapointing. but from the powerlist on celica club UK. its apparent that UK celicas make arround 175 stock. weird.

As for your TRD header. i was wanting this to start, but was turned away from this in favour of the PPE header after some reasearch. its a much better product with much better runners as its not constrained to the original limits of the stock manifold. ok so it needs your stock midpipe modifiying, or buy the PPE midpipe too, but its worth it.

Im hoping my power from the last run was low due to incorrect manifold fitment and a poor tune. with the current work from Se7en Motorsports, she should be in a very healthy set up for some seriouse NA figures!! cant wait. we are having delays with our machinist with them being so busyy and it being bank holiday weekend. i REAAALLY need it back so i can get it sent off to Frozen solid along with all the running gear and everything else for some Cryo treatment before reassembly. i need it built and tuned by mid May so i can have it fully ready for when i get home from sea!!!

Also im not a big fan of the current exhaust. the blue flame talked a good talk on their website, but coming from the Veilside titanium teardrop backbox with PPE system, it proved to be shit in my opinion!! waaaaaaaaaay to quiet pre lift!! nice and throaty on lift but way too quiet before.

So i will be getting a silencer put in to the rear PPE midpipe section and refitting the Veilside, as then i get the wail, but hopefully still withing race track DB limits, as thats the reason i removed it in the first place!! haha Tooo loud!!

Getting used to a new forum!! haha.

I will do a full Readers Rides one when i am back home as i will be able to have real internet speeds and be able to upload properly!

The decals will hopefully be gone next year, but, will be replaced with a racing inspired Jap style paint job. Still undecided, but i have some ideas.

Got word from Lee at Se7en today. My head is finnished from their machinist. he went to get it yesterday but got held up on the M1 for like 5 hours in traffic so missed them. So wont be till next week till he gets it off to Frozen Solid for cryo treatment.

Cant wait to see pics of that, the machine work is an engineering art form!! haha

Because of all the shit i got recently we have been trying to stay off ccuk, although i still try to help guys in need out. Few comments were thrown around and basically i was getting alot of flack, and i cant be arsed arguing and taking shit off people online who i dont even know!!

I shouldn't have to justify the reasons for posting how much things cost, and how much machining costs etc etc and where i get them. Its simply so others know where to get it should they wish to follow.

But i have asked Se7en not to post info about my car in the Se7en thread and i have stopped my build thread for now.

Also i will do a build thread on here as InsolentMinx pointed out in the Readers Rides section when i can get back to land and get real internet for uploading photos.

Nice build. Tune needs a lot of work if the 187 is at the flywheel indeed.

Did you get rid of the GF's old Euro GT lip?

If not, I'm interested.

YAAY!

I finally got around to actually logging in on here and look who's the first person I found! Just typical, you go half way around the internet and I still bump into you :P

Liking the build, I hope Lee's taking more pic's than your posting up on FB and here.
