The most influential Celica?

Well i was reading through the Supra forums...(wish i could afford one) and found this topic kinda cool...
I guess if u could post like 1 or 2 pics of the car and a description of it...or just make a small list...
In no specific order...
1. Hombredelassrta - Saw his car back on TC.com when i first started in 06... And he was a big help all the time and i always admired his car...

2. oONoGoAutoOo - I admired his clean look and constant upgrades and his new Turbo add an bonus...

3. VoodooTRD - Was one of the first to do it real big IMO...and his awesome Blitz SC

4. williamtrd - i dont know to much about his car but its hella nice

5. zzt23 - Damn nice car...enough said

6. Smaay Do i need to explain...Pioneer to help push the celica to its limit...

7. pro-style-gts Love thats its a white celica and its turboed

8. The__J__Factor First Rotrex to be done and its nice and clean

Im sure that there are countless more but i cant think of any others...here are some other but i was to lazy to post a pic :p

jlitman
monkeywrench
C2power

I'm honestly flattered to be an honorable mention

FWIW, here's a somewhat recent pic

To be honest, the only Celica that ever directly inspired me was the one pictured in the "looks fast" commercials waaaaay back in 2000 (or late 1999, or whenever those spots stated appearing on tv).

I saw that and said -- ooooo, I want one! First car I was excited about in years

Then I drove it, and realized it was too slow to even merge safely into traffic...

Several grand and a few years later, I'm very happy with it, and it remains the only car I'm both excited about and actually want to own -- Believe it or not, this is actually a true statement.

Yep, I'd rather have my humble grocery getter than an Evo (I hate 4-doors, don't care how fast it is) or a Lotus (too expensive, too small, too impractical for me as my only car) or a Corvette (maybe if I won it in a raffle...) or anything vastly expensive and beyond my current means.

That said, I can't wait for all the cool cars coming out 2010-2011...

The number 1, most influential 7th Gen Celica would have to be Fensport's AWD GT-4. Hands down, puts every other to shame. Minor asthetics, major mechanical upgrades.

Too much money to do though, nonetheless it sets the bar.

I think Smaay's car is the most influential...Seeing what some shop did with an unlimited budget doesn't impress me...Seeing what someone can do with some know how and a little bit of scratch, now that sets the standard

+1 If I had to vote for a 7th gen, that would be it.

True, Jeff is one talented person. But he said Celica and not it's owner.

Jeff in a very innovative and influential member, for sure.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/d...cbb161608f.htm
then i saw vids of DYl01 haulin a$$ i was hooked

then the Trial celica was the hottest celica i had ever seen (even with the ricer stickers, wing and chrome 19s) those were the cars that made me pull the trigger on buying a celica

x-evil-x celica blew my mind away when i first saw it. before that moment i saw nothing but rice chic driving celi's. my honda fanboys friends would make fun of my car and couldnt see the potential. and when i saw evil's celi, i printed out the pic and shoved it in there faces. of course they didnt want to admit it it was nice. crazy right? his car is currently my wallpaper

I've always thought Evil eye had a great looking car. He always seems to have the parts that are incredibly rare (and expensive.) Hombre's car was very influential for me especially cause it's spectra blue!!. Bt216, ever since I saw that video of you and the noble m12 I have been very impressed with your car drag slips or not.

most influential celica? either hombre or VooDoo because they take their cars to shows and are in music video's and the like...

Most Influential owner: Smaay / Boosted2.0, and their crew for all the R&D that they have done towards the car. Monkeywrench is a good mention, but it's a shop not an individual owner so they have alot more funding to put towards it.

These cars are my inspirations.

CELICAJONZ - Raphael

the cleaniest and sickest celica in the country. Hands down with rare kit.

bt216 - Brad

One of the fastest celicas in So Cal. Not only that, he has nothin stock in his car if you really look at it.

oOoNoAutoOo - forgot your name

The cleanest rims and kit with sexy expansive cf hood

Silverstealth - Ryan and Lieca

If i want a widebody, this is what i want my car to look like. Silver represent!

Goldilocks - Theresa

She's the one who inspired me to mod my car and make it look sick and unique. Another choice if I want to go widebody.

Jentei - David

JDM YO! If I am going the aggressive route, this is the route I want to take. I love his wheels (regret didnt bought it when he sold it last time) Trial kit always kick ass.

I dont know about you but not many will beat those cars in my mind on here.

Exactly.... Almost all the cars posted copied the owners before them. But Slowica, Smaay, Johnny (bumbee), Joe, Jesse, the red apr car (I forget his name) and Mo.

What about me

I guess the person that "inspired me" is red_dragon who was the first GT-S, though he never dynoed it but the shop that worked on mine built his. This is way before any kit came out back in 2002 and all the shops back then somehow do not want to come out with one... Count yourself lucky the turbo setup is now available which is a lot cheaper than buying one off build.

none taken, but FYI once I have everything complete i will be hitting the tracks(drag & road). I know you are gonna say "you have no door handles", I am planning on installing a custom handle if needed. Something along the lines of aston martin perhaps.

I have always loved oONoGoAutoOo's ride. I guess his car was my inspiration.

There is also this guy ROMEO and some numbers at the end, his ride was published on a mag. I think his car is sick. i dont have pics but his car really inspires me. its sort of a pre VoodooTRD since he also uses the Buddy Club kit.

switch 2 and 5 and I might agree with that list. they're both norcal celica's and zzt's old look is nogo's current look (silver and black theme). besides, zzt had everything done (turbo, black interior etc..) to his car before nogo did any of his.
