A question for the Norcalians...
So.
As I sat here twiddling my thumbs bored out of my mind. I pondered to as how the members of NC.org NorCal Region found their way onto this site.
I found my way onto here through my brother back in 2001 when he picked up a slightly used silver 2000 GT 5spd. He would keep sending me links to threads on here on what he was going to do to his car. That was when I lived back in Illinois.
Fast forward 3 years and I just so happened to have bookmarked this site from before. I started my quest for knowledge on these cars. And at the time I had felt I acquired the knowledge to hold a somewhat technical conversation with another celica owner I decided to try and get involved with the community. After my first meet, Topline euromeet Sept 10th 2005, it turned out you didn't need to be a technical geek to be apart of this awesome group of folks. You just had to be one chill guy with the same passion, cars.
That day I met some of the coolest people people that today I consider friends. Those who were there were Hoan, Joey, Alberto, Angelo, Simon, and Kris. All of them were so nice to a newblood like I.
So thats my story. Whats yours?

i first got my silver celica gt in late 2000 early 2001. my friend with a 240 and one with an impreza told me about a cool forum called newcelica. i attended a celica/ impreza meet at D&Bs in milpitas... by any chance anyone remember one like that? i mainly just observed and tried to learn from the site. I admit that newcelica is definitely the most user friendly, well designed, helpful, resourceful, site filled with very knowledgeable people. But by far the Norcal peeps and portion of the site are the nicest and most supportive members of the site by far, funny too. Whenever theres negativity lingering around the site you can always count on you guys to be the supportive side of the site to balance it out. I have a newfound pride and motivation for my car through your guys' inspiration. thats my story!

Before I bought the Celica, I was actually kind of inspired by one of my college roomate's car, Navi (Fakecelica). At the time, I was driving around with my parent's Toyota Avalon. It didn't quite suit my style too well. I wanted a car of my own. One that I could mod and change things to my liking. In December 2005, I was finally able to purchase my first car... The Celica. I took photos of my proud car and was able to find Teamcelica.com for all my questions and answers. I suppose they weren't the greatest help... Most of the members on there were located in the Mid-West... One day, some random ass guy named Joey added me on myspace. He complimented my ride and I was impressed with what he had done to his. He introduced me to newcelica.org. It took me almost half a year before I finally joined this forum. Fairfield/Lake Berryessa meet was my first meet. At first, I was a little nervous to show up with my stock Celica... But this forum welcomed me despite what kind of mods I had. Since then, I fell in love even more with my car. During my time here, I was able to learn more about cars than I could ever. I started getting into videos and became addicted to car meets and meeting new folks ever since.

It was 2007 when I wanted a car SUPER bad. It was my senior year in high school, all of my friends had their licenses and one even bought a brand new 07 Civic. We even see freakin Sophomores driving! I felt so left behind, so I started browsing through Craigslist to see what car I want. I LOVED the Celica. It looked so girly but agressive at the same time. It was literally my dream car. I didn't want a BMW or a Lexus. I was all for a Celica (:
So I talked to my dad about it because my mom was totally against my getting a car. My dad said "I'll buy it if your mom agrees" so in the end, I HAD to talk to my mom. Since I was planning to move to San Jose, she HAD to agree because there was no way I'm going to bus it to school and to work everyday.
I was on Craigslist for several months trying to find the perfect Celica. I wanted it to be white, GT-S but with auto tranny. And I finally found it! It was perfect It came with tints, an Alpine deck and Viper alarm system. Wonderful!
After I bought the Celi, I was on Google and I searched for 'celica' and NC.org popped up! I lurked for a month or two and then I finally joined and my first post was on "The Who's Who of NorCal Celicas" or whatever it's named.
I LOVE the people here. They are probably the most welcoming people I have ever met on a forum. I'm so glad I joined this forum. And the meet on Nov. 8 practically topped it all off. Everyone here is family to me even though I don't know you guys that well!

I saw my first 7th gen Celica in mid 2003. I looked really nice and it was different from the typical civic's, preludes, integras or any other coupes. I noticed there wasn't a lot of Celica's on the road and it made me want it even more. When I saw the action package, I fell in love with it right away. That was when I was determined that this was my dream car.
Before I started looking at Celica's, I found newcelica.org by typing in "Celica pictures" on Yahoo. I saw a bunch of Celica's modded in different ways and they all looked great. I didn't have an account at that time because I didn't have a Celica to contribute to the forums.
After lurking around in forums for about a year, I decided it's time to buy one. I browsed around craigslist for a while and I finally found one in 2006. I didn't know anything about Celica's at the time so I bought a GT, but thank god it was a manual. I didn't get to drive it until a year later because I couldn't drive manual. I was really mad because heres this beautiful car sitting in the drive way and not being driven.
In 2007, I finally made a account on NewCelica.org after being able to drive it. I couldn't really think of a name so I made this name because I was eating fried chicken at the time. I still remembered the first post I made. It was when RTZCeli posted something about a "De Anza" meet. I replied back saying I also go to De Anza College and if he was going to have a meet I would be interested. The little meet happened and it was only me, him and his friend. Funny this is, he's from San Jose and I'm also from San Jose. Driving to De Anza was unnecessary because he lived like 5 mins away from me. After that, we've been going to the same meets and having a great time with the Celica community.
This forums had been great to me because this is where I get all my mods and information. If my car had problems, this was where I learned to fix it. There's also always great deals everywhere and when you start modding, you can't stop. I said to myself I wasn't going to mod my car but I started with small LEDs then it grew from there.
I remember the meets I went to and everyone was welcoming. It was the,
Davis Car Meet III 05-30-07
South Bay Meet 06-03-07
Lake Berryessa Meet 07-14-07
Concept in Motion 2nd Meet 07-29-07

I guess it's my turn...
I first got my celica in 2005 from my parents after I have been bugging them for a car. I don't really remember the details of how and why I fell in love with the celica but I just did.
But I didn't join NC.org until bad things started to happen to me and I was at the lowest point in my life (I was actually 1 step away from committing suicide, but thats a different story). Then I decided to change my life around at started searching the internet for celica's.
The first forum I joined was toyotacelicas.com but it's a slow forum with pointless threads until somebody pointed me to newcelica.
The first meet I ever went to was a Hooters mini meet in natomas and I had to sneak out to go. It was there that I meet the Sac peeps (Emily, Chris, Kris, Dan, Isaac, Thomas and some others I don't see anymore). It's funny that I remember this because Kris had his neon lights and lambo doors, Emily's car was still un-touched by her bad driving style, and I was the quietest person there.
It was there at my first mini meet that really changed my life around and prompted me to go meet everyone else.
I just want to thank Emily, Kris, Nasim, Angela, Dan, Isaac, Alex (yes you and your prickish ways), Hoan, Joey, Pat, and both Johnny's for keeping me from doing something regrettable.
P.S. this is the reason I do as much as I can for you guys.

my 240sx got rear-ended new years eve of 05..it was totaled so i was lookin for another car. i was actually looking for a 300zx tt but couldnt find one in good condition at a good price. i went searchin for about a month then i really got fed up so i got up one saturday morning and said to myself "Im gonna buy my car today no matter what!" ..so i was driving around then i passed by this honda dealership and right in front was a black 2001 celica gt..it was love at first sight. ..hehe..so i got the gt but totaled it after 5 months. i thought i wanted a different car so i was actually looking for a 98 3000gt VR-4..i dont know what lead me to it but i found a white 02 celica gt-s w/ a full trd package lowered by 2" rollin w/ 18" motegi r7 w/ a carbon fiberhood..i fell in-love for the second time and love was indeed sweeter the second time around.
i joined norcaltuners.com but on my first post all i got was hate..only one guy welcomed me "GTSCELICA05" and he's from NC.org ..on my 1st post everybody gave me a warm welcome..i knew right then that i am home. and until today this is the only forum i log into. I met a lot of cool people here, made friends and learned so much stuff. im really glad i joined this organization.

well i first started about 2yrs ago on my first real bad a$$ car, 05 rsx type S.i had lots of mods and stuff but i accidenlty parked it on a fence and i actually did a lot of damage to it that wen the tow truck took it out of there it riped out the whole bottom suspention, puntured the was tank, riped out the whole right front tire and sway arm that the price to fix it was 18,000. the value of the car was 20,000.so it got totalled.
my gf has a type S and when we were on the look for a car she gave me some info on the gts.i was like nah case i thought they didnt had balls.lol. so i got one about a yr ago comin in jan.08.
she also found me this web of jst celicas and i thought that was awsome case ive never been a part of a group car online.and i actuallydnt regret getting a celi and also been a part of this great club. NewCeica.Org rules!!!!!

WEeeeeeeeeeell...I joined 6gc.net in 2003...followed a link to Norcalcelicas.org (no longer operational). I attended a 2004 San Francisco joint meet by NewCelica.org and Norcalcelicas.org, and that's pretty much how I got here.

Kinda long of a story for the Celica. Had major issues with my Supra (91) blown motors went through 3 I just could not give that car up I loved it so much. Well after sinking too much money on new motors and my mechanic making a killing off of me I gave up my Supra and got me a 2002 Celica GTS. I found this site pretty much by accident did a google search for celica modifications and I clicked onto a newcelica link lol. Had many ups and downs with Celi spun a bearing on it @ 40k more than likely the UR pulleys that caused it. (got a new block for free from Piercy Toyota they rock!) but alas, I had to retire the Celi as well because I really wanted a 2 door rear wheel drive so now I am rocking an 07 350Z which is fun but from time to time I miss the celi because of all the things we went through. well sorry for the long post had to throw that out there.

First got my Celi back in Oct 1999 as a grduation present. I used to drive a 94 Toyota Corolla. A while back, I used to have a neighbor, he was a member of NewCelica.org his screen name was Psykotic, recruited me to join the Celica meet. My first meet was somewhere November 1999 at the great mall,
I met Phewl aka Cliff aka fastest Celi back then, Gene aka Eugenile 2nd fastest Celi, Jami aka Jami2k and Sean aka SeanBlader and Yves aka Yves, I think it's only me and Yves are the only ones that's left from the old Gen but still young and fresh . I don't usually go here, the websites that I used to go was Phewl.com, celica.net.
I've experienced ups and downs, comedies and drama's, love and hate in the Celi family.
But I kinda noticed that the New Gen of Norcals are different from the ones I have hang out with before. Seems like this new Gen's are cool, funny and very outgoing. First newGen member I met was Hoan, Alex, Bernie, Jeff and Joey. And the rest are still growing and expanding.
I will cherish and treasure the good old times and the future meets to come. I will value the friendship I share to those peeps that I meet each day, month or year. I will miss those peeps who have gone and who are no longer with us.
So yeah, I've been here for a while, I dunno if I'm the oldest from the group but I'm still young at heart and plus I'm not that old old
Ohh well, I'm still getting to know more of you guys as time passes by
Pat

Before i purchased my celica back in november 07, i had a ls-vtec integra with a jdm front end...which got stolen and completely stripped to nothing but a mere shell! i was never really into the celica. seen it around sometimes but never really caught my eye :/ but then after i got some money saved up i decided to go to the dealers to look for a rsx. when i got to the dealers i saw 5 celicas sitting there and it was just beautiful sitting there. at every angle i was amazed by it but still i wanted the rsx. but then my dad who co-signed gave me a lecture: "don't get a damn acura! look at this point, everyone has an acura or honda so most people are gonna need those parts. right? but if you get a toyota its less likely to be stolen for parts." and so i took the celica out for a test run. i fell in love with the interior. loved the cockpit interior look and feel. but i didnt know yet i had to do some research. after awhile i decided to go in the market for a celica gt-s but couldnt find a manual so i ended up with a trd supercharged gt with a funky custom hood. i then decided to sell the supercharger to pay off the car and get a carbon fiber hood to replace the funky one. did some google and ended up in newcelica.org ever since then ive long to know more and more and newcelica members are the nicest and coolest people!. my first meet was a sac mini-meet at fry's it was raining and i was nervous that my car would be a joke compared to the others. but alex and the rest made me feel at home. i'll always remember: *holiday jack* BWAHAHAHAHA

first car was a 240sx (loved that car). Took me a long time to talk my family into helping me buy it. I took great care of it. Then the 240 decided it didn't love me any more and caught it self on fire on 92. So i was done with the hole unreliable cars and wanted something that wouldn't go boom! So I found the Celi! After that i googled Celica forums and found two. Stayed on this one since it wasn't "dead." Been happy ever since.

Basically, in 2000 when the Celica debuted I wanted one really badly, but at time I was committed heavily to my Volvo 240. So, I did the next best thing to owning a Celica - I lurked NC.org as an unregistered member for the next couple of years, seeing what people were doing to their cars year by year.
In 2004, I picked up a carbon blue 2001 GT from Maita Toyota which had been sitting on the lot repossessed from the previous owner back in 2001. The car originally had a body kit, factory alarm, and other stereo goodies -- all of that was removed and it was returned to stock and it was waiting for me in 2004. The modding bug bit me and with the help of Mo's exceptional expertise as well as a few others, my modest daily driver sits as it does today.
I've grown to meet a lot of people here that I like and a few I dislike. Some I would consider friends, some I would call acquaintances, and some I would call retards. All in all, NC.org, namely the NorCal section has been a great place.
That's my story.

Well mine.. I had been searching constantly for a car after graduation. I searched & searched for a nice car not only to mod, but to race on the racing circuits!
I came upon & really close to getting RSX's, 240sx, TC, GT-S, M3, TT, RX7, EP3<- missed out on 1 day!, & many more (oh it had to be stick shift!). Then I decided to look for a Celica. But I wasn't too sure what a Celica was at the time haha. And I didn't want an Integra or Civic due to the car robbers of Norcal!
But yea, since I "wasn't" allowed to get a race car, second best is a street car that I can turn into a race car.
But finding this site? I have no clue, I guess I wanted answers one day & searched on google & came upon this wonderful website!
Norcal group is awesome!

You got it, Pat!
Before I got the Celica, I was never really into the whole car tuner scene. And even after I got the car, it was nothing more than something to get me from point A to point B. Sometime later, I can remember seeing a picture of a very nicely modded celica, and while doing a search, I stumbled upon ClubCelica and Norcalcelicas, which eventually led me to Nc.org. From then on, what started as jsut adding simple stickers to the car, led to an addiction.
The first few meets that I attended were hosted in San Francisco. As I attended more and more meets, I was fortunate enough to meet a bunch of friendly and wonderful people. I remember seeing Quy, Kam, Mo, Alberto, Richard, Joey, Irvin, Arvin, Pat, Yves, Wilson, Simon, Benji, Loretta, Bernie, David, Archie, Mike, Wilson, and Petor at the first few meets that I went to. After that, it seemed as if we had a mini-meet and photoshoots every other week!
I eventually got to meet other great people like Alex, Jeff, Daniel, Russ, Logan, JP, Angelo, Jason, Jerry, Johnny, Kris, Franko, and Brian, just to name a few.
I too, have seen and experienced my share of drama, but I hold no hard feelings. The celica and ex-celica folks that we have here in Norcal are awesome people. Hope to see you all at a meet soon!

Man growing up in the bay area with a dad that has had the passion for cars i never had my doubts on toyotas. My dad whose first car was a 1983 Toyota celica gts liftback, used to hang out with his old buddies in daly city with thier corollas (mango), ae86's to the smiley's and mr2's. i used to always be around when these cars used to pass by his work and say wassup to him. I never got tired looking at those 14x8's with their tires all stretched out lookin like go kart wheels. Unfortunatley, the celica grew small for the family so my dad traded in the celica for a 1987 VW Vanagon. A mistake that hurts till this day because it couldve been mine. Fast forward to 1999 an old classmate from elementary moved back to fremont and attended the same high school as i. When I saw her for the first time in hella years she was driving a Black 96-97 Celica Gt. Most of you know here as LadyRacertrd.(vanessa tam) hi by the way if you see this. We talked and she asked me about getting parts for her car. My sources failed and got nowhere. That and i wasnt really into the celicas then but i always thought they were cool. In 2001 i got my Celica and started surfing the web for parts and stuff ,something i shouldve done for Vanessa then but i didnt think of that before because magazines had nopi and and those little adds anyway i came across NorcalCelica.org and Bayareacelica, and EverythingCelica. a lil tip from vanessa. i remember going to this meet back in the day at union landing and i swear there was like over 30 or so cars mainly celicas. i think maybe yves remembers that meet thats the first time i saw yves celica when it was Destined To Speed. That was like the first and last meet for me for like 3 years. Then i moved to Union City where i met my coolest neighbor and celica buddy joey! who introduced me to newcelica.org by the way ive been there and seen it all with joey. Basically, my car every other aftermarket part is either joey's or came from a friend of joey's, besides the kit and wheels. You wanna know a real enthusiast, that guy is a hardcore celica fan. This fool even has a Celica Bible in his car and still growing haha freakin joey but thats my boy and he loves his car just as much as everybody that ive met here from newcelica hoan, alex, pat, johnny, si, andrew, tiny, man still havent met all the rest but if you see me on the the road dude throw it up an say wassup! thats it for now i could say more but thats it for now

i briefly read thru the responses but here's my story..
i got my celica new yrs eve of 2002.. bought it as a daily to commute 60 miles to and from work.. by the summer i grew tired of it and stepped into my ricer days =/.. one of my buddies who also drove a celica dragged me to the huge stonestown meet and introduced me to other celica enthusiats.. a few weeks later i finally registered for this site under a different sn..
before coming here..i knew practically nothing about cars.. next to nothing about the celica.. my success in this industry started from all the guidance and support from the people here. I keep trying to leave shoutouts in the magz i'm in for this site but for some reason they never print it!

Ever since the 7th gen celica came out I fell in love with the car. Over the year i researched about the car on .ecelica.com, norcalcelica.org and teamcelica.com and finally joined newcelica.org. Finally I got my celica in late 2003. Did a few mods here n there, and got addicted to modding. I went to my first meet in june 2004 in SF, Biggest meet ive been to. and met really cool ppl. Joey, Kam, Alberto, Richard, Hoan(toiletpaper) lol.
I still have love for the Celica community, but haven't been to a meet for over 2 years.

Thats awesome to know! I felt hella bad when you came through to your first meet and you got lost during the cruise. I was worried about you bro cause you didnt know how to get back home and you were by yourself. So, it was a mission for me and my lost group of CELICA members to find you. A few minutes later, we did and we met up with the other CELICA members later on that night at a random location.

I almost teared up. Thanks Marc! I would like to thank you as well bro cause it was your CELICA that helped me want to fix up my ride. I even want to thank for telling me to change my sgock antenna to an S2K antenna. That was the first mod that I did and I just got hooked on modding my car. Oh and Im coming over your house to give you a hug.

jtultra and i were friends before i graduated highschool and ever since i saw his gt-s i fell in love with the celicas. I finally got my red gt-s in 2006. torn to pieces and treated like crap by the orig owner it was a project to come. jtultra was the one who got me on this site and helped me out with ideas. ended up cleanin the body up and changing the front bumper and sides to bomex. even now that im sellin it, i wish i didnt have to. as for NC.org, as others have said, it is the only place i have felt welcomed, made a few friends, and above all learned a lot. even after my gt-s is sold, ill be reading this forum simply bc the ppl on it are worth reading about or talking to.

Well, I read a few of the posts, and it must be peer pressure, I have to tell my story!
It was December 31, 2005, was back home in SoCal visiting some old high school buddies. Bad mistake, this group of friends were horrible influences and to this day, haven't amounted to crap. But hey, my parents were mad at me and I wasn't in the mood to ring in the New Year with my little sister or alone for that matter, so off I went to get into trouble. Besides, I knew it wouldn't be boring. So, at 10:03 PM, I told my mom I was gonna fill up the tank on her Benz, took her keys, said "No problem, I know you hate filling up gas" when she said "Thank you!" and off I went on the 101 to the next city over, Woodland Hills. One of the good-for-nothings lived there and no way I was going let any of those guys in my mom's car - it would be stripped and sold for parts by the time I got home and it was hard thinking of a reason why it took me so long to fill up her tank.
Now, first thing those freeloading punks said to me was "bring any bud down from up north? No, "what's up" or "my, you're looking healthier!" or even "Happy New Year" So, to drown my sorrows, I sold them all my bud and made them smoke me out. That was mistake number 2. We decided to go to K-town and hang out with some other people and off we went in 5 cars because no one wanted to sit in the backseat, except 1 person, who came with us. I didn't mind, I knew I wasn't paying for gas because if anyone asked me to, I would just remind them of the great weed they just enjoyed. Besides, every single one of them still owed me money from one time or another.
So, we're almost in K-town when Alex (midget in the back) starts laughing and says "Yo dawg, let's swing by the club and snag a lil token of our appreciation for Mr. Yoo's fine Norcal herb." Then he starts poking me and shows me a red sportscoat with like gold trim. I was trying to remember why it looked so familiar when all of a sudden, we stopped a block away from the front door of Velfarre and Alex starts kneeing the back of my seat and telling me to let him out. I let him out, and he puts on the jacket and starts speed-walking to Vel's. Then it hit me, I turn to Chae (driver) and I'm about to say "wtf, that's the valet jacket!", when Chae flips a quick u-turn and take off while cracking up none-stop. I turn and look back to see Alex getting into a Celica after handing the owner a piece of paper or something.
Long story short, I could never bring the car into any shop so I had to do all the maintenance and repairs myself. Knowing Google is my friend, I typed "stolen celica ideas never get caught" in the search box and clicked "I'm feeling lucky!" and this site came up.
Man, if I could see the look on the faces of anyone who actually read through the whole thing - I would probably pay for a picture. So, that's how my buddy Alex found this site, and after seeing his fixed up with mostly jacked parts, canary yellow Celica when I came back home for the Summer like 5 months later, I thought it looked pretty cool and called this a-hole I knew who owned a Celica and asked him to sell it to me for cheap since I knew he had just gotten a new WRX for getting good grades that quarter or I would tell his parents he blackmailed me into forging his transcript by threatening to tell my parents that I used to smoke cigarettes. It felt good to get that plick back by making him come into the Torrance DMV with me and sign the pink slip over at the counter. The rest, as they say, is history and now I go knock out because I'm exhausted and have work in 3 hours. Oh, and hoan, some dude is running around pretending he's you b/c I thought I had met you but you didn't mention me as one of the people you had met, so.....

just like pat, i started at phew.com. i saw cliff and gene in action at the runs and after them, it was me and jason (xskoopx) running the streets. soon after jason, micronrice came in the scene. i met jami and the rest of the praxis crew at some meets. didnt really click with them due to most likely different interest. streetracing vs non streetracing..lol oh well..thats the way it is. regardless they were still cool folks.
i found out newcelica.org through my friend jason. i was more of a lurker in year 00 till i finally bought my car 4/01. met alot of good folks through here. most i consider good friends and colleagues/enthusiasts. this is the most informative site for our car period. hence im often on here.

Damn...its amazing how fast time flies by when you sit and think about it.
Got my first celica summer of 02 (01 gt auto), sat next to jos aka joozen at crc that summer since we were both in this auto electrical night class and saw his black 02 gt. He got me hooked, I was a member of norcalcelicas.com and then eventually became a member here in 03. Best part of my journey is having the met the people that I did through this site. Johnny, Mike, Jos, Richie, Benji...just a few of the OG sac crew. Can't forget Hoan and Kam, hangin out what seems like only yesterday. There are soo many great people that I've met...way too many to list out, but you all know who you are. I'm just amazed at how much this site and it's members have grown through these years.

I used to own a 1996 Celica GT 5-speed, loved the car. When the 7th gen came out, I fell in love with the new one even more. It immediately went om my list of must have cars along with the 5th gen Lude. I was on this site from the beginning, lurking mostly. I finally registered in Sept of 2001. It was sometime in 2002 that I finally picked up a 2001 6-speed GT-S in Liquid Silver, with some Konig Imagine 17's. Turned out to be a bit of a lemon, hence the title under my username. I'm still bitter about it. Had the tranny crap out on me soon after buying it (second gear), and about a year later, had the lift bolt issue where a piece broke off. It may not sound very bad, but on a car that had about 32k miles, unacceptable IMO. Anyway, after 3 fun filled years I finally let go. I went to one Celica meet, but my Celica was down getting the tranny replaced so I showed up on my '97 Lude. Had a great time, met some cool people. That was probably about 5 years ago, I'd like to come out to another meet sometime, but my schedule never allows me to make any of the bigger meets in Norcal. Maybe one day.

glad NC is still alive and i see some of the og members are still here
as for me, i got one right after my close buddy got his white gts in 2000. After I drove it and experienced vvtl-i, i was hooked. A few months later I had to have one so I got one early 2001. A black 2001 GTS with really low miles on it. Like 3-4 miles when I took delivery. It was right off the truck Short story how I got it. Went all over the bay area looking for a black gts. Dublin only had a black gts with no leather and sunroof. Spent a day looking around but no go. The next day, went back to Dublin to buy the black gts with no leather and sunroof. The saleman came and told us that they just got a black gts with leather and sunroof the min I left night before. So here I am pretty damn excited. Anyways, purchased it and never looked back.
Was on this forum a lot back in the days. Back then street racing was off the hook and the cops weren't so bad. Then came FnF is when it went downhill. Anyways, one night in Militpas in the In and Out parking lot, Eugene came up to me and we started chatting about the celica and what not. Became pretty good friends. After that he became my contact person in the bay and for organizing all my races for me. haha. He was always flagging my races, haha!!! I only race or feel comfortable when he flagged or organized it. Anyways, was watching some of my old videos, it brought up some memeories. Haha
here is the video i'm talking about :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i0xWsyAJaA
I came a long ways. Celica was a tough car to drive no doubt. I practice and pratice and got the hang out of it. One of the few celica in the high 14s bone stock and then low 14s with intake and exhaust at Sacramento. Then PFC came out and was one of the top performing N/A celica hitting 194 to the wheel I am so proud of the car and its performance. I wish I still had the car. maybe one day I will come back to it.
Since I moved on...my little brother just picked up a 00 celica gts with the original shift gate. Drove it the other week and brought back so much memories. hehe. I still am able to shift like a mad man in that car and cracking the dash like before. Damn what a fun car.
Anyhow, post is getting long. Was bored so I thought I drop in.

Im a huge fan of import cars and i've been wanting to have one and modify it myself. My brother got a 00 GTS and ever since he got it i've been wanting to have one too. Then finally in 03 he lets me continue the payments of his car, and from that moment he gave me the keys i said to myself like in the back of my head. "IT HAS BEGAN"!!! LoL... I search site and forums through the net and the first one that i joined is everythingcelica.com I just lurk around, look for some nice clean ride and learned some how to's i didnt even bother going to meets. Then sadly the site was closed then i followed a link to NC.org Since then with all the help that i get here i have transformed my car in to one amazing car that im proud off... coz i know i did everything... from simple painting of lip kits, interior. Installing electronics, gauges up to changinge clutch and flywheel "thanks to smaay for some tips n tricks" and the supercharger "thanks for modacar for tuning"
