didn't know they have such interest in automobile's hp and torque...
but I don't see the cool thing about having 1000hp+ trucks, van, minivan, suv... and drive up and down sand dunes

None of their rides look nice either...
Just expensive...

They need that for driving fast in the sand. A celi wouldn't last very long out there. Just driving up and down a hill for hours on end does seem a litle pointless though. I like how they call it desert wars: kinda like fast and furious lol.

driving up a steep hill is hard enough, one made of sand is just crazy. these guys definitly put alot of work and thought into their cars. I think their cars look great, mostly left stock but seem to really tear it up out there. i'd imagine on the street they'd be monsters in a straight.

only thing that bothers me is they were awfully cavelier with other people's lives, they need to organize a bit better.

for all the people wondering " what's the point of going up and down a hill of sand in the dessert "

it's a hobby, just like using the raptors and banchee's and what-not, not alot of stock cars can go " up and down a hill of sand " in that short period of time, it's not as easy as u think, get a stock toyota land cruiser and try going up a steep hill of sand, it probably will do it but will take a while, so that's where the tuning part takes place, some of these SUV's and 4x4's are insanely fast ..

now some of u may ask why all this money into an suv, it's a waste of money, waste of time, bla bla bla..

different people have different tastes i would honestly not spend that much money into an 4x4 .. but it's cool and new to see cars like these beating supercars.

those of you who don't get the idea of "up and down a hill" have obviously never gone off-roading. There is much more to it than just pushing a gas pedal, even though sometimes thats the best way to get out of certain situations.

Desert driving is actually quite fun. Hitting 3ft whoops in a fully built desert truck doing 90-100mph is quite the rush.

This is where my family, friends and I go. Video is not mine but gives you a good idea of both day and night activities that take place.

^ exactly, all around the uae they have certain places where this stuff goes on 24/7, my freinds and i all chipped in and bought a small house-like at 1 of the area's, and when ur there, day or night, u can hear those cars doing they're things, and there's a small pitch of street where people go drift in they're skylines, supra's, and even those SUV's. It's pretty fun to watch
