It's not cheap but it's not as expensive as you think. The 3SGTE is a proven motor and doesn't need as much work as the MazdaSpeed or even the 2zz motors to hit the same hp numbers. Why don't you take a cruise on over to Alltrac.net and do some searching.

if I spend over 3g's into an AWD car I want a 10 second slip...high 11's is completely UNACCEPTABLE IMO, this inevitably means it has an ANEMIC trap speed

"Rice" is really an ambiguous term. It means quite a few different things to different people. Now, yes, there are some things that many would agree is "rice," but like others have said, it's their car and their money. Everyone doesn't have to have the same opinion on style.

Well Cwill's Evo would be the closest to that...Just bolt ons, stock ecu, E85 and some weight reduction. Consistent 10's

I think everyone on this fourm at one time or another has done something rice to their car. Not really fair to label slower cars as rice as well. some people take their cars in diffirent directions. some go for all out hp, others go for looks, it's a mixed bag. I'll bet you could pick my car apart and call it rice. Cool, no problem. but every mod on my car, weather it be performance, audio, styling, all has a defined function on the vehicle. I like my car. Yea, it only runs high 12's, but it also is a full interior show car that competes in IASCA and USAC audio events, and runs in grip and autocross events. It's all were you want to invest your time and money. I also performed every install of every performance, audio, styling, and interior upgrade on car as well.

Heh, I haven't been paying attention to many new cars (paid more attention when looking to decide what to replace my BMW with but really on cars around the early 2000 mark cause that is what I could afford) so I had to look up to see what you were talking about.

Anyways, pretty car, but Mitsubishi's are known for cars that really don't last or have any sort of reliability. For me reliability would trump how cheap that hp is.
