Yeah I guess you can say that haha. It originated in LA (where almost every other new idea originates...) back in 2005. Pinkberry has been in San Jose since I believe 2007 or so but the whole "frozen yogurt" thing didn't start blowing up until last year so it's a new concept for most people.

Call me a girl then cause I'm addicted now...I have like 6 tubs full of frozen yogurt in my freezer and every night I just open one of them up, grab a spoon and dig in. I used to love ice cream when I was a kid but I've converted to yogurt now

Foreign people love this stuff too...probably 1 out of every 5 or 6 customers I get is foreign and they always seem to have a really good time with their yogurt lol
