2 years on the bulbs , 3-5 years on the ballast.

To be more specific roughly 2500 hours on the bulbs.

Nope, both the JL and XTC will work. Yes there's a kit that will work for your fogs as well. If you want let me know the make model and year for your car I can confirm what bulb sizes and kits you would need.
