That's awesome that you can just cut it out completely! You're not throwing a CEL for it??

Yeah they are just vacuum lines. You can Bend the short ones that come up to the firewall by hand so you can route the new hoses out of the way.
|
Awesome, thanks H8, sounds easy enough!

Can you post a pic of the area where your fenders over? Where you are running your wires through.

I use a power fc so I really have no idea.
I'm sure i'm throwing a few emmisions codes but who gives.
I'm pretty sure that line runs to the charcoal canister.
*I have it tied in to the other vacuum line with a T at the canister so I dont have to run the long line. Canisters about to go anyways

I actually have all my wires running back in through the firewall. I'll take a pic tomorrow when I get a chance and show you. The only wires I'll be running through the fenders will be for lights, horns, cooling fans, etc. I'm just working on a minor tuck right now b/c I'm moving down to Florida soon. Once I get there, I'll have more time to do a hardcore tuck

Some of the best guys are in Tampa. And In FL you dont have to worry about emission testing. so dont worry about CELs if you dont want to

More progress done today (mostly to passenger side):
Passenger side fender (I need new rotors as you can tell and even my lug nuts are rusting too. Really putting off my Enkei's )
Looking at taking out my power steering reservoir and all the piping as well since a few of you guys have done it, but is it still easy enough to take corners fast on a road course with it out?? Or should I leave it in for that purpose?

once the car is rolling its very easy. You still have more resistance than with power steering but it doesnt bother me.
Parking can be difficult at low speeds

Right on, thanks for the input! I'll probably just hold onto mine for now, maybe relocate or do away with it later

Some of the plastic boxes that hold the fuses and relays can be modified and used to relocate them. I cut one up and used strap wire to secure it to that large bar.

Thanks for that input H8, I was working on it a little bit today so it's not as bad as it was, but still really intimidating, so this will help out a lot!

No problem. The wires look intimidating at first but once you start wrapping them in electrical tape or zip ties the clutter goes away and it starts making a little more sense.
Here is a "free idea" for dress up bolts

And some random pics

I have to say its a lot easier to hide stuff with a darker engine bay.
I feel like everything is so exposed with it being silver. Like every imperfection is noticed /dislike.

Hey guys, I got two plugs that I can't figure out where they go. I know they are right around the headlights, but don't think they are incorporated with the headlights. I don't have my fog lights anymore so maybe they go to those, but I just don't know haha.
First one is a black female connection with a green wire and white wire with black chaser stripe. This wire was factory taped to the A/C plug you can see in the pic as well so it needs to be somewhere around that, but I'm not finding anything. The cruise control module unplugged you see in the pic is already accounted for also.......
And the other one looks like a male connection with a white wire/black chaser stripe and a blue wire/orange chaser stripe. This wire from the factory has a little white tab taped onto it so it could be mounted in one of the little holes in the body, allowing it to be posted.
I noticed both these plugs are on the driver side as well, and I haven't been able to find the plugs that fit them on that side either. H8 and 2KG, I'm sure you have seen these plugs before so the help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

the first pictures plug is for the blinker.
the second im not sure about id have to look under my hood. i wanna say washer resivior.
all of this can be confirmed with a multi meter and a power on test. idk if youre at the point of having power yet but thats the easiest and most reliable way of researching

If I didn't spend so much money on my Carbon Fiber engine pieces, I would have done a Wire Tuck a long time ago.

It just takes patience bro!! You should totally go for it!!
And 2KG, isn't this the blinker plug?? The round, grey one? I do apologize though cuz I just realized going out to take this pic that the blinker and the black plug I'm trying to find have the exact same wire color scheme

Most recent progress for now!
And just for fun, a shot of my battery relocation:
Cleaning up rust is now on top of the list besides relocating a few more vacuum hoses and wires here and there.

Thanks guys! It was a little tricky getting the wires ran under the center console since they are massive but the Braille battery fits quite nicely. I'm gonna do a little bit more on the sides, with foam, to make it fit a little more snug.

Looks good. Try re-routing some of those vacuum lines.
I'm going to be wet sanding buffing and tucking some vacuum lines on my engine bay soon. I will post pics when that happens.

Yeah that's definitely next on the agenda for me as well, before a fresh coat of paint.
Have you guys hacked out the battery support beam? If so, where did you relocate the one wire which makes it even serve a purpose now haha. I was thinking about cutting mine out.

Thanks rippin
I painted my mounts black but I left the batter support
The wire that goes to it is just a ground
Are you painting your engine bay a different color from the rest of the car? I would like to see that! I may put some heat barrier on te firewall part of the engine bay

How did you get rid of you're cruise control? The end of the cable to the cruise box is different from the one that goes to the throttle body.

I know. It doesnt even work right now for some reason. That and my rpm gauge dont work. I just havent had a full day to go through my wiring and find out why. I think they are both ground issues. I also need a better way to mount my fuse box under the dash.
Again just no time.

did you guys just cut the wires at the bottom of the small fuse box then just re attach them once everything was under the dash?
